Golden Grape ArmAs was founded in 2007 by Armenak Aslanian, who repatriated to his motherland for the realization of goals that involve the intertwined aspects of family, heritage, culture, and progress, with personal values and responsibilities he maintains as a father, an entrepreneur, and as an Armenian. ArmAs strives to be a place where the aspects of joyful and meaningful living come together – history, culture, celebrations, and achievements. The possibilities for growth and expansion at the ArmAs Estate are continuous.
Armenia, known as the birthplace of the vine, is also the site of the oldest known winemaking ruins, dating back 6100 years. At ArmAs Estate, located 1100-1360 meters above sea level in the Aragatsotn Province, winemaker Emilio Del Medico has paid homage to this heritage, partaking in the Renaissance of Armenia's winemaking legacy by crafting award winning elegant wines that stems from one of our country's best natural resources, the idyllic terroir of our ungrafted wines. This wine's brilliant and intense color with purple highlights comes from the native Karmrahyut grape which defines the grape's unique characteristic - "karmir hyut", meaning "red juice" in Armenian. Aged for 24 months in French and Artsakh oak barrels, the achievement is a wine with bold aromas of cranberries, cherries, plums and rose petals, with notes of white pepper and cinnamon exiting its complexity.
