The famous ProWein 2024 alcoholic beverages expo took place in Dusseldorf, Germany. This year, Armenia was represented by a joint national pavilion, dis playing the products of 22 Armenian wine producers.
Also, two tastings of Armenian wines were held at the Meininger and Vinum tasting platforms of the exhibition.
Famous wine journalist Thomas Brandl thoroughly presented Armenia as a sacred land of wine, talked about the history of our wine and modern approaches. The expert specially emphasized that the uniqueness of Armenian wine is the terroir and endemic grape varieties, offering the attendees to test it and taste the presented wines.
About 100 people participated in the tastings during the two days. The European wine experts were delighted with the newly discovered wines, they said that they were impatient to see Armenia with their own eyes and get to know our wine culture personally. It should be noted that the visitors of the ProWein exhibition are wine experts from different parts of the world.
The tasting-presentations were organised by the Foundation with the support of GIZ and RED-NEO program funded by USAID.
