Armenia hosts famous wine journalists

The editor-in-chief of the Italian online periodical Winemag.it, wine critic Davit Bortone and international wine buyer Giovanni Lombardo visited Armenia at the invitation of the Vine and Wine Foundation of Armenia (VWFA) with GIZ’s support.

The director of the foundation, Zaruhi Muradyan, presented to the guests the rich history of Armenia's wine industry and its reviving present. The guests, accompanied by the Foundation's team, toured the wine regions of Armenia, got acquainted with Armenian wine and the people who make wine.

Of course, these visits are targeted. Articles about our country and our wine will be published, as well as partnerships with new markets will be created.

Also, the Foundation's partner winemakers had the opportunity to meet the guests and present their wines and their stories.

The feedback from experts on the tasting was wonderful and encouraging, with great potential to build and strengthen new partnerships.
