134 types of wine produced by 34 Armenian wine companies took part in the competition, which were "blind" tasted and assessed by the representatives of the participating wine companies, and their work was coordinated by highly qualified independent wine experts based on their long-term experience in wine assessment.
The main purpose of the competition is to develop mechanisms for quality control of Armenian wines, which will allow setting new quality standards for high-quality Armenian wines, and to introduce wines in line with established quality standards under the new "Wines of Armenia" umbrella brand as the business card of the country's rich wine history and culture.
