Armenian wine and gastro culture

At the initiative of "DAR" Foundation of Regional Development and Competitiveness, Kristian Brask Thomsen, the founder of the world's first culinary embassy - Bon Vivant Communications - arrived in Armenia to breathe new life into centuries-old Armenian cuisine.

He was joined by Mads Refslund, co-founder of the world-famous Noma restaurant, founder of modern Scandinavian cuisine. The latter, through special dinners, unveiled the new gastronomic potential of Armenian dishes by applying innovative culinary solutions.
Gastro and wine journalists selected from well-known media outlets from around 20 countries were invited to cover the project, including Forbes (USA), Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung (Germany), Público (Portugal), Fine Dining Lovers (UK), Posta (Russia) and others.
To fully explore Armenia, they visited the country's most important tourist destinations, including Armenia's wine regions and wineries where the Vine and Wine Foundation of Armenia presented them the wine heritage, millennia -old culture and latest achievements of the country’s winemaking to date.
